This home school agreement has been put together by the Teaching Staff, the Governing Body, the Parents and the Children.  We hope it will further improve the excellent partnership we have in Old Earth School.

Child Will

• Try to do my very best so that my parents and school will be proud of me.
• Try to keep myself and others safe.
• Try to share and work together with other people.
• Be polite to others and behave well.
• Listen carefully and follow instructions.
• Take good care of equipment and the school building.

School Will

• Encourage children to do their best at all times.
• Encourage children to respect others around them.
• Inform parents of the children's progress at regular meetings.
• Inform parents about what the teachers aim to teach the children each term.
• Provide a balanced curriculum and meet the individual needs of your child.
• Be open and welcoming at all times and offer opportunities for you to become involved in the daily life of the school.
• Set and monitor homework reflecting the commitment identified in the homework policy.
• Provide an environment where the children are both safe and secure.
• Encourage children to take care of their surroundings.

Family Will

• Make sure child arrives at school on time, after 8.45 a.m. but before 9.00 a.m.
• Make sure child attends regularly and informs the school before 10.00 a.m. if a child is absent.
• Attend Open Evening to discuss child's progress.
• Work together with teachers to maintain good behaviour and discipline.
• Inform school about any issues that might affect the child's work or behaviour.
• Support the school's homework policy.
• Ensure child arrives at school with appropriate equipment.
