Energy

• We now have Energy Police in every class to ensure lights are switched off when nobody is in the room
• We are holding a 'Switched Off' sticker competition
• We are looking at eco-sourced fuel options
• We have investigated the possibilities of having a small wind turbine
• We aim to have a large bank of solar panels to reduce our own energy usage and sell the extra energy that these create
• We have been visited by the Carbon Manager for Calderdale
• Year 5 and 6 have both been studying global issues, including the use of fossil fuels and carbon footprints
• Year 5 presented an eco assembly to the whole school
